Yes, I'm from Australia :)

I have a White 1.4 Sport with 16 inch wheels, it's a fantastic car and I'm very happy with it. They are not common in this part of the world, I have only seen 5 other 500s on the road in the 8 months I have had it :(

Why are they so rare? Does Fiat have a decent dealer network in Australia? Are prices high?

The dealer network here is very poor and most people here remember Fiat's from the 70's so they don't have a good reputation. People here don't know how good the new Fiats are (:

And they are expensive, my 500 was $31,500AU almost twice the price of a small Japanese car here.

Fuel is still relatively cheap here so people tend to drive larger cars as well...

Their loss for missing out on driving a 500 :)

Yes, Fiat has those problems in many countries. In the last few year there have been significant improvements in their products, they should create a dealer network that can support them.
