Hi all of you.
Started this thread so we can have a place to post info about the meeting in Italy this summmer:yee: Crazy as I am I have already arranged with babysitter for my kids for a week in July and first thing Monday morning I will ask my boss if I can get vacation. So I hope and belive that my little 500 will cruise through Europe in July for that Italian meeting:yee:

As some of you know, the goal is that of getting 500 new 500s together the 4th of July.
Obviously it's not going to be easy, but I believe that the passion and dedication that those in here demonstrate on a daily basis make this an achievable goal.
...and even if we don't reach 500 this time, there's always the next _icon7_

Hi guys! Since this is my main holliday this year I am getting worried about hotels, prices etc... I could need some advice from people from the Erba area about hotels not too far away from the place of the event that are nice and not too expensive. I really like to order soon.....Because I am not going to drive 2450km each way just hoping I`ll find a hotel when I get there :)
Other question: What distance is Erba from the sea ( mediterranean or adriatic) Me and my wife is thinking about going to the sea for the last couple of days:wub:(sunday to tuesday/wednesday), where would you Italians recomend us to go. We want a bit of sandy beach:)
I appriciate any info I can get....(also about the meeting it self)

for the hotel that best meet those living near Erba. Did I say that the sea from the nearest Erba is that of Liguria, and is 158 km.
but with a little sand, but if you want great beaches, you go in the Adriatic Sea which is not as beautiful as that of Italy but there are lots of beaches.
There are 2 possibilities: either the area near Venice (Caorle, Jesolo Lido) which is 357 km from Erba and saw it pass near Venice is also just go and see.:)
the area or further south near Ravenna Erba that is far from 373 km (Milano Marittima, Rimini, Riccione)

Is there a special hotel that you guys from Italy that dont live close are gonna stay at? I can only find one hotel in Erba itself, the rest of the hotels are in Como, Bellagio and other nearby towns.

I belive I am going to Rhodos in late august or early september. The Italian tour is without kids and the greek tour is with kids:) You should go to Ville:) BTW It is about 2000km`s each way :)
So its gonna increase your mileage quite a bit then. What do you have now? Over 10000km for sure! Mine is over a year old and I only have 6500km on it...
I think you´re going to like Rhodos. Its a great island that has got something for everybody and with kids I think you should definitely visit the waterpark in Faliraki.
We are flying there on saturday for a week with my girlfriend and her brother. We are taking him abroad the first time in his life as a gift for graduating from high school... We are staying at Rhodes town as usual (fourth time on Rhodos). Have you desided where you´re going to be staying? Besides this trip we are planning a two week trip at the same time as you´re going; late august and early septemper. We´re thinking about spending one week at Kalimnos and then another at Kos, but havent really made up our minds yet, so we´ll see.

this Convention applies only to hotels written in previous post. If your hotel is not far we could take without a pass that you take the taxi, I think it is possible... :yee:
Sounds great:) Maybe my english is fooling me a bit, but how do I sign up for the convention/meeting? Is it just to show up at the meeting? At what time does it start? Looking very much forward to 4th of July, and so does my wife:yee:
