Predefinito Help - petrol cap frozen!

    Hi

Am I the only person who's having trouble with their petrol cap in icy weather? Every time the temperature drops below zero (which is just about constantly at the moment) I can't get my key to fit all the way into the petrol lock, and when I finally do manage to fully insert the key, the lock won't turn....and then when (finally) I get the lock to open, the nozzle of the petrol pump won't fit into the hole and so the pump won't dispense petrol. It's as though the metal expands (or contracts) with the cold and the whole thing seizes up.

I'm practically driving around on petrol fumes at the moment...is anyone else had this same problem?

mmm ... probably lock's petrol cap is defective ... I do not thinking is a problem of Ice. (take it from the dealer and replace it in warranty)
As for the refueling myself the first time I had trouble ... just turn the petrol pump
    (sorry for my english)

Thanks Mak...re refueling, I have no problems in warm weather, only in ice...so I think something happens to the tank, it expands/contracts out of shape or something....

I thing you're right...my lovely Valentino is defective...

I have been re filling my car in sub zero degrees for 3 months now, coldest was about -17C. Have not had any troubels with either the cap or the refilling. For the cap problem I suggest that you buy som lock spray to have inside the locking mechanism of the cap, this should solve your problem. About the refilling you should just try like someone else wrote different angels of the pumping pistol. I dont think temperatures just under zero degrees would change the shape of the refilling whole.... Good luck
