Excuse my English - but my Italian is very basic

I just purchased on of these



The idea is to fit an electric exhaust valve on the "free" open exhaust pipe. I want to operate this valve from inside the Abarth by a switch .... just like an Akrapovic exhaust. The valve will be shut for street use

I have a few questions .................

What size is the exhaust pipe (OEM) ?? I have heard both 50mm and 55mm ??

Where can I get such an electric valve ??? I have seen some for the US - but read that they are problematic

I don't think that someone in the forum has tried to put a valve in the exhaust system.
I think it is possible to insert it, with the command from the inside of the machine, but not easy to mount, since it should cut and weld the pipes.

Ha comprato lo scarico che vedi in foto e vorrebbe installare una valvola (come sul record Monza e akrapovic) da comandare elettricamente.

a ora si che ci siamo .pero non sono esperto di scarichi tecnologici tubo dritto e vai aisi 4000 e il migliore

Vorrebbe sapere il diametro del tubo diretto per mettere una valvola della misura corretta..

Esistono gia valvole complete di tubo a y da saldare e parte elettrica per apri-chiudi si aggirano intorno ad un costo di 120-150euro ....girando su internet e cercando " valve cut-off" si trovano di diverse misure....spero possa esserti utile. ... :-)

I have found valves from Pierburg - the suppliers to Porsche, BMW and Ferrari. They work on vacuum, but are more reliable than electric ciutouts
